A&M Youth
Info for Parents
At this year's Middle School Retreat, we want to give students a chance to read a letter from their parents/guardians. This will be given to them at some point during the day on Saturday. We'll let them have some time on their own to read it. We would like to keep this a surprise for all of the students.
So, we'd like to ask parents to write a letter before we go, and get it to us.
It doesn't need to be fancy.
It doesn't need to be long.
It doesn't need to be awesome.
It just needs to be something heartfelt from you.
It is a great time to tell them how much you love them.
You can write about your hopes for your relationship with them as they go through MS and HS.
You can write about some of the good things you see in them.
You can write about their relationship with the Lord and what you hope it will be.
You can write about things related to faith.
It's okay to make it funny.
It's okay to tell them you hope they are having a great weekend.
It's okay to include a Bible verse you would like them to know.
Please put your letter in an envelope.
Put their name on the outside.
You can put the letter in the Youth Box in The Refinery on Wednesday night or before.
You can bring the letter and give it to us on Friday night when you drop your student off for the retreat.
We may have a box with a random name on it like "Recipes" or something like that, which you could put the letters in.
Glad to answer any questions you have. Have fun with this. We pray it will be a blessing to your son/daughter.
