Summer 2022
Highlights
The summer of 2022 was a great one! We are so thankful for all of the experiences, all of the times together, all of the opportunities, and all of the incredible blessings from God. Here is a quick look back at the summer, and a few of the numbers to go along with it.
One of the first "big things" of the summer was Paint-O-Rama. During the 3 days of Paint-O-Rama, we had 42 students who painted 3 houses. Yep, 3 days, 3 houses...our students did an awesome job!
Paint-O-Rama

After Paint-O-Rama, it was the first of our three summer camps. Between all three of our camps, we took 109 students to summer camp this year. In addition to that, we took 16 high school students to Mega Days as counselors and Director's Assistants.
Mega Days was June 6-10, and was for students who had just completed 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th grade. It was all about Jonah and all about God's love for Jonah, the people of Nineveh, and God's love for us.
MEGA DAYS

We took some of the best parts of summer camp, mixed it together with some opportunities to serve others, and added a few surprises along the way. The result was something we called High School Week. One of the unique parts of this experience is that it was a mystery trip. From service projects in Denison, Texas, to a few days at Sky Ranch in Quapaw, Oklahoma, to the awesome Jesus show in Branson, Missouri, to a service project in Branson, to canoeing on the Buffalo River in Arkansas (and a bunch of things in between) it was a great week of faith, seeing God in new ways, and trusting in Him.
HIGH SCHOOL WEEK

Camp Cornerstone
Camp Cornerstone is for students who have just finished 7th or 8th grade. On the campus of Oklahoma Christian University, Camp Cornerstone is a week filled with enthusiasm, excitement and faith. There's a lot of middle schoolers and a lot of love for the Lord. This year's theme was "Come to the Table" and we spent the week looking at how God loves us and wants to have a relationship with each one of us.

HS MIssion Trip
The final big event of the summer was the High School Mission Trip to Southern Christian Home in Morrillton, Arkansas. We did so many service projects at the farm and at the main campus. Painting, working with animals, clearing fence-lines, staining decks, refinishing old church pews, washing windows, hauling away old junk, washing horses, walking sheep, cleaning buildings, cooking lots of meals, and a lot of time spent with children...it was a truly awesome week filled with faith.

Other Summer Things
In addition to all of these things, we had some great things like Powder Puff Football, Summer Kickoff, bowling days, Big Shots golf, Nerf gun battle, Paint Wars, Skate Night, meals at places like Mod Pizza or Jason's Deli or in The Refinery, Back to School Family Fellowship, and all of the weekly times like Sunday morning Bible study, Sunday night youth worship, and Wednesday night Family Connect. Here are pics from some of those activities:

Thanks to all of the students who joined us at any time for class or a service project or a fun day or a camp. Thanks to all of the parents who went on trips or helped with in-town events. And a special thanks to our two great summer interns, Samantha and Josh. They gave up their summer to spend it with our students, and they did an outstanding job showing God's love to everyone.
To all students who were involved, we're so grateful for your presence and we pray that whatever you were able to be a part of was an encouragement to you in your walk with God.
To all students who were not able to be involved in something this summer, come join us this fall! Lots of great things happening, and we want you to be a part of it.
We hope all MS/HS students and families can be a part of Youth and Family Ministry things this fall. Some great things have already happened, and more great things are on the way. But with all the great things above (and below) on this page, don't miss the most important thing: all of this is for Jesus. Every trip, every camp, every house painted, every moment of worship, every Bible study, every cardboard boat, every 10 ft gutter of ice cream, and every mile in the buses...it's all about Jesus and all about helping students and families know Him.
