As we head toward summer, we would like to let you know about another set of Sunday Night Encounter classes to help you grow in faith on Sunday nights.  These classes are specifically intended for parents of elementary, middle and high school students, but are open to anyone who is looking for a place to grow on Sunday nights.

If you are not involved in a small group, or if you are just needing a place to be on Sunday nights, we hope you'll give Sunday Night Encounter a try.  We will have two different Encounter studies for the months of April.  Both studies are designed to allow you to come on weeks you can come, but not feel bad about having to miss a week.  However, once you come, you may like it so much that you wouldn't even consider missing a week.

The first Sunday Night Encounter study is called "Sticky Faith" and is a 5-week study on parenting.  This is a very thoughtful and encouraging video, based on 6 years of research of students who have graduated from high school.  You'll think, you'll be challenged, and you'll learn some incredibly valuable things about raising your children to have a life-long faith.  "Sticky Faith" will meet in room 201 (the upstairs classroom across from the elevator) and will be facilitated by Wade and Suzanne Richardson.

The second Sunday Night Encounter is a Bible study on 1 Peter called "Strange."  This is a challenging and uplifting video series which will really help focus your heart on what it means to live as "aliens and exiles" in our world.  You'll walk away very encouraged each week.  We think you'll really enjoy this series.  You will want your Bible for this study and you may want to bring a pen or pencil to make some notes in your Bible.  "Strange" will meet in room 218 - the middle school classroom (it already has a projector and screen) and will be facilitated by Kevin and Jan LaStrapes.

April 7 is the first night for these new Sunday Night Encounter studies.  Both Encounter Bible Studies will begin at 6:00pm and end at 7:00pm.  These studies will each meet on April 7, 14, 21, 28, and May 5.

If you haven't felt like you're growing in God's Word in a while, then these studies may be a real encouragement to you.  If you have been wanting to find a place to be on Sunday nights, but haven't found it yet, well, look no further.  And to help you as you teach your children about God's love, we have some great opportunities at the church building for your son/daughter on Sunday nights:

-The Nursery is open for children up to 2 years old.

-Children 2 years through 2nd grade can attend Bible Hour.

-Children in 3rd-6th grade can come to the "Kids Small Group."

-Students in 7th-12th grade can join Intersection - where life and faith intersect.

These Bible studies are not intended to take you away from a class or small group if you are involved in one.  They're just another opportunity to grow in faith - and since they happen at the church building, you can come to the building with your whole family and have some great opportunities for everyone.
We encourage you to make Sunday nights a part of your family's schedule this month.
